Jackson is 8 months old and so darn cute! He is crawling all over the place, and pulling himself up to stand, he is actually getting much better at not falling down as much and catching himself when he does fall. He has two teeth on the bottom front. He can say dada and hi. He babbles a ton. Getting to be a happy boy. He is much more easily calmed and doesn't cry too much. He isn't nursing anymore, he decided he didn't want to anymore around 5 months old. So he drinks about 4-6oz every 3 hours or so. He is eating baby food now and loves it!! He also loves Cheetos and crackers and is obsessed with Macy's sippy cups. He LOVES Macy so much, but also loves to pull her hair and take her toys. He has quite a bit of stranger anxiety and also separation anxiety, poor guy. He is very attached to his momma right now, makes it hard to get anything done, but I'm loving every minute of it!! Jax still wakes up in the night to eat generally between 4-5am, and then sleeps till about 730. He is tiny... was in the one percentile for his weight, at six months he was around 13 lbs. I think he is around 15 lbs now.
Macy is 2.5yrs old now and so smart!! She talks so well and sings lots of nursery rhymes. She is learning how to spell her name and draw pictures. She knows most of the shapes and is working on colors. We are still working on potty training..... She is so sweet and loves her brother... most of the time. Her favorite things right now are her grandmas. She still loves mickey mouse and reading books. She loves to go down slides, and play in the splash pool. She is still afraid of a lot of things, especially noisy things, but is getting better. She eats well all by her self!!! They grow so quickly!
Bob is almost done with his masters degree!! Two more months!!!! YAY!! I am still considering going back to school for my neonatal nurse practitioner but want to wait until the kids are a little bit older. Working full time plus being on the life flight transport team is busy enough right now.
Bob and I just had our 6 year anniversary!!!!!!!!! We are loving life and just trying to enjoy it as much as possible. Camping, hiking, swimming, BBQ and now bike riding and jogging are our favorite things right now!! Also our evening walks that we do occasionally.

2 years old and 2 months old

We have a 2 year old and a 2 month old... oh boy is that busy. They are both doing so good though. Macy is starting to potty train and is doing so well! I'm sure she would already be potty trained if I had the time to focus just on that, and if I wasn't back to work, oh well, she is doing awesome. She had her 2 yr appt at the Dr
Weight 24lbs 4oz.
Length 33 inches
So she is maintaining her 18-20% and she is right on track developmentally. I was a little surprised that she wasn't advanced for her age because to me she seems soo smart. She can speak in full sentences pretty much, sometimes she still says stuff and we have no idea what it means, but most of the time I know exactly what she is saying. She can count to 10, and knows all her body parts, she love to sing twinkle twinkle and baa baa black sheep. She is still obsessed with watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, but her favorite thing is to look at the pictures on peoples phones. She also lines up things, it is so funny cause she makes rows of all her toys, and she like to put them in the window sill. Her favorite thing to eat right now is chicken nuggets with BBQ sauce and apple juice. She eats like 8 chicken nuggets at a time, crazy. She can feed herself, but still uses a sippy cup.

Jackson also had a Dr appt
Weight 10lbs 1oz
Length 21.5 inches

I think his weight was 10th percentile and length was only 3rd.
Dr said he is developmentally advanced for his age!! He is 2 months, but acts like a 4 month old. He can stand really well, and can lift his head and hold it up really good. He is cooing a ton, and smiling lots. He is trying to laugh but hasn't done it yet. The Dr. said he has colic so that would explain his night time craziness. It seems to be improving a little. He eats every 2-3 hours during the day and takes around 70ml each feeding when I'm at work, and breastfeeds awesome. At night he generally sleeps 6 hours, eats and then sleeps 2-4 more hours. He is still wearing newborn clothes but I think he will be in 0-3 month soon.

How is life??

Life is good, but crazy right now!! Macy is almost 2 years old, and she has some crazy "2 year old" moments. Bob made up a little song for her, and she loves to sing it.... "terrible 2's, terrible 2's, Macy is a terrible 2." they sing it together, pretty cute but seriously, she can be pretty bad. Most of the time she does it when I am feeding Jackson, cause she knows I can't jump up and put her on time out. Oh, time out is a treat :) haha, NOT... She does really well on time out normally, but lately WOW BAD, like yesterday I was feeding Jackson and she decided to grab the laptop, I told her to put it back or she was going on time out, she didn't, so I put Jackson down and got up, she ran with the laptop, but it was plugged in so it fell on the ground and she went running off to her bedroom, needless to say she went on time out but she wouldn't stay on time out. Every time she gets of the "naughty chair" (which is actually the bench in our living room) I put her back on and restart her 2 minute time out. This time out took over 30 min... crazy... she just would not stop getting down. Then when she did stay on the bench she was banging her head on the wall or spitting. WTH???? My little princess turns into this little MONSTER!!! She only has these really bad days about once a week, but the rest of the time if I threaten time out she stops doing the bad stuff.
Jackson is now 6 weeks old, I cannot believe how fast time has gone! He is such a big boy now! Finally fits into his newborn clothes!! I think he started wearing these when he was a month old. He is a great little nurser, we are trying to get him used to the bottle because I will be going back to work in about 3 weeks, he does well with it, but gets a little fussy afterwards and wants to nurse even though he just ate. He LOVES his sister Macy, whenever she talks to him he gets the biggest eyes and just stares at her, it is soo cute. He likes tummy time (most of the time) and can lift his head and turn it both directions. He has just started to smile and it is the cutest thing ever!! He mostly smiles at me, yay for me!! But he is a totally different baby than Macy was. Macy didn't really cry much and was pretty content to do whatever. Now Jackson is kind of a fussy baby, he is happy in the mornings and gets worse as the day progresses. He is not patient at all, and at night he like to nurse every hour for about 3 hours (starting about 7 till about 10pm, or whenever dinner is done...) and even when he is nursing he is fussy, just not content. The only thing that makes him calm is a bath, but that is only while he is actually in the water and then it is screaming again :( poor guy, not sure what this is all about but it is pretty consistent every night. Some nights it is just crying and others it is screaming.... I sure hope he grows out of this. But then he will sleep for about 6 hours, which is nice. I'm not sure how much he weighs right now but I'm thinking about 8lbs.

Anyways, thats life right now! Busy, busy. Not sure if I will have anymore kids after this, but I am sure happy with the 2 I have, they are just a lot of work. If I do have one more kid, it will have to be when Jackson is like 4 and can be a little more independent or in school some of the time, cause being stuck inside cause of the snow makes for a stir-crazy Macy. I am excited to go back to work though, not sure how it is all going to work with work, kids, husband, pumping, and doing transport but I will figure something out. Glad I decided not to go to nurse practitioner school right now, I would really be losing my mind if I had...

HE'S HERE!!!!

Jackson Wendell Siddoway
Born: 10-20-10 at 7:32pm
Weight: 5lbs 2oz
Length: 19 inchesThis is the belly the day before he was born.
Here's how it all happened......
On Wednesday Oct 20th I had 2 Dr appointments, first with my OB- everything was fine, I was 3cm dilated. Later went to see the perinatologist for an ultrasound to check baby's growth and fluid. My fluid was low measured at 5, so the Dr said "its time to get this baby out". Bob and I walked down to labor and delivery for the induction, they were soooo busy and had no rooms open, so I was put in the recovery room for a short period while they started my IV and asked questions. Then I was moved to my delivery room, and the Dr came in and wanted to break my water. I was nervous cause I didn't have my epidural yet, he said it wouldn't hurt too bad. haha LIE... anyways that was around 2:30pm. around 6pm they checked me and I was 5-6cm, then at 7pm checked again and I fully dilated!! Dr went to change they got everything set up, Dr came back, I pushed once and Jackson was born. Much different experience than with Macy (I pushed for an hour), with Macy I went into labor on my own and with Jackson I was induced. Being induced was much nicer, I was able to get my epidural when I wanted and it was more controlled. Jackson was born the exact same gestation as Macy- 36.3 weeks. He was having some respiratory distress (grunting and nasal flaring) and because he was a little early had to go to the NICU for about 21 hours, then was able to come to my room and go home when I did. He lost some weight and got down to 4lbs 11oz. and had a hard time staying warm, so he is always swaddled with a hat on. He was up to 5lbs 4oz at a week and a half old, so starting to get big.
Macy was a little wild at first and not quite sure she liked Jackson, but now she loves him, she loves to hug and kiss him... The ultrasound tech said it was 5 (normal is above 10) the perinatologist thought it maybe was about 9, but thought maybe I was leaking amniotic fluid, and if so I would deliver.... SCARY!! So I got sent to labor and delivery to get a test done to see if I actually was leaking amniotic fluid, the test came back negative!! So now I will get an ultrasound every week until I deliver, non-stress tests twice a week, my regular Dr app every week and an appointment with the perinatologist every week. Busy, busy. I still think this pregnancy is going a little better than Macy's pregnancy, so hopefully we will make it to 37-38 weeks. We will see. Oh and on ultrasound today Jackson was measuring 4lbs 7oz. they said about 2 weeks small for his age, but not a big deal.

Macy has just started 2-year old tantrums, they are actually kinda funny, she just kinda rolls around on the floor with this horrible look on her face, she doesnt normally cry or scream, just rolls around. I sure hope this ends soon! He new thing is to call everyone a donkey, it all started with Grandpa Donkey (my dad), we arent sure why she calls him this, but that was how we could tell which grandpa she was talking about. At first it kinda offended my dad, he thought she was calling him a jack-ass, haha, so he taught her grandma donkey, macy donkey, mama donkey, daddy donkey and krystal donkey. So we are the donkey family now according to Macy. She is obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and she wants to watch it every morning, she calls it either "hot dog" because of the hot dog song or she calls it mickey mouse clubhouse. She is talking so well, we are so proud of her!!

Life is busy, Bob just started his masters program in social work, its only one year but I will have a newborn baby and a 2 year old, while we both work full-time and he is in grad school full time. YIKES!! I'm a little scared. When I had Macy he was able to take 5 weeks off of work to be home with me, now with Jackson he will only have a couple days off with us when Jackson comes home. Not sure how I will do it but I guess we will survive! I luckily haven't had to go on bedrest so I will get more time off with Jackson than I did with Macy.
Anyways life is good, I am just patiently (not so much) waiting for Jackson to come, makes me a little nervous to think about how exactly this is going to take place, but hopefully I get an epidural before I get to 9cm like last time!!!

29 weeks!!!

I'm 29 weeks now and doing pretty good. I have been taking the progesterone shot once a week and I really don't think it makes much of a difference :( I seem to have contractions just like I did with Macy. I started Nifedipine this last week and it helps for about 2 hours, but gives me a horrible headache. The contractions aren't really painful they are just super annoying. Last time the Dr checked me I was still pretty much closed so that is good. He said I could get betamethasone for the baby's lung development any time. I started doing NSTs 2 times a week and so far they have been good!! I think we will make it to 36 weeks!! Time will tell. I see perinatology every 2 weeks to check cervix length, so they are watching me closely.
We finally put Macy in her toddler bed last night and she did great!!! She slept all night and didn't fuss at all, what a big girl!! Her nap today was way to easy, she just asked to go to bed, so I took her in and she climbed in bed and I covered her up, checked on her about 10 min later and she was asleep in her bed. It was awesome!! Tonight was a piece of cake, she fell asleep before we even put her in bed so it was easy. We will see how this goes, but really Macy is such an easy kid, I'm kinda nervous that Jackson will be wild and fussy, I sure hope not!!

It's a BOY!!!!!!

14 weeks pregnant

This pic was done at 12 weeks!
Things are getting better with the pregnancy, on my first visit to see the perinatologist when i was about 9 weeks pregnant they saw that the placenta was pulling away from the uterus and there was an "extensive" hemorrhage, they said this puts me at risk for miscarriage before 20 weeks, abruption or preterm rupture of membranes. Great news :( I was so disappointed cause I had hoped that this pregnancy would be less complicated than the previous pregnancy and it was already "high-risk". But as I talked with my dr more about this diagnosis (subchorionic hemorrhage) he said that there is a chance that it will heal completely and I can have a normal pregnancy, I am still at risk for those things mentioned but that doesn't mean that any of them will happen. YAY! So from there I saw my Dr every 2 weeks and then perinatology again and it looks like it the detachment is healing and the baby is growing well, so they dont think it effected the function of the placenta. So I am hopeful that this pregnancy will be uneventful!! How in the world would I do bedrest with Macy around?!? NOT POSSIBLE! OH, I forgot to mention, the perinatologist and my Dr wanted me to take progesterone shots every week from 14 weeks to 36 weeks, it is supposed to reduce preterm labor by about 50%! I started that this week, actually got my first shot today, it wasnt too bad. It will be busy trying to go to the Dr every week for my shot, because transport is changing a little bit and I will be on call for transport at least 2 times a week on top of my three 12 hour shifts, but I can only do flight until I get to 28 weeks. But at that point the Dr already said I will start non-stress tests 2 times a week till I deliver. Looks like I am going to be busy busy busy. But as long as the baby is doing well, it is all worth it.
Macy is so big now and talking so much, only some people can understand what the heck she is saying but it is so cute, I can totally understand her words. She doesnt really use sentences, she will say "I want ..." or "the ..." but not a lot of other sentences. I was writing down all the words she can say because the Dr always ask how many words they can say, and i was surprised that macy can say 32 words!!! I only counted words that she doesnt call anything else except the correct name for the specific object. Like I didn't put dad on the list, cause she calls a lot of people dad. But like "cup" and "baby" she only calls a cup a cup and a baby a baby. make sense? Anyway she just turned 17 months yesterday and she seems so big already!! We really need to work on weaning off the bottle and then going to a toddler bed before the new baby comes.

Anyways, I am amazed at how fast I had to go to maternity pants. Geez I was barely 12 weeks and my normal pants were just too tight, and I am 2 lbs lighter than I was before I was pregnant so its not that I am just too fat, I think :)

I'm PREGNANT!!!!!

This was kinda a surprise, well not really nut kinda. We really weren't planning on "trying" to get pregnant till this month and we were thinking since it took soooo long to get Macy that it would be at the earliest summer before we were pregnant, well NOPE not this time. Apparently my body figured out how to get pregnant fast! So I am about 8 weeks now, and we had an ultrasound last Monday and saw the heartbeat and everything looked good, he wanted to do another ultrasound in 3 weeks to get my due date. I will start seeing the perinatologist (high-risk OBGYN's) this month as well for my clotting disorder. The nausea and fatigue is unreal. It is much worse this pregnancy so far, with Macy I was mostly sick in the evening, with this pregnancy I am sick all day long. BLAHHH!! But it is a good sign that the pregnancy is going well.

Macy is now 14 months old. wow how time flies!! She still loves to read book and dance! She will dance to anything! It is so cute! She is constantly babbling and mostly saying "dada" and baba, she sometimes says mama, hello, bath, bottle, papa, grandma and a couple other words. She loves baths. Its cute when we say dog she will bark, and sometimes if we say cat she will meow. she can point to her hair, ears, eyes, nose and teeth. It amazes me how much she understands, I will tell her to go get something and she will do it, now we need to work on her talking! As far as eating goes, she still gets a bottle before naps and bedtime, but seems to be eating better, she loves chips and salsa and hot sauce, crazy baby. we love her so much!! I am so thankful that i have my dad to babysit her, he is so in love with this little baby! it is amazing! Macy is our world!

I have decided to put off school for a little bit and focus on family, and doing the transport team. I am learning a lot, and having a lot of fun!
Bob is enjoying his job at innovative health care and at the hospital occasionally!

We just bought a RV trailer and are so excited to go camping!! it will be so nice to stay warm at night, I love camping but hate the cold. She is so big now! She has 5 teeth, two on the bottom and 3 on top. She took two steps today (she did it really good, like 3 times in a row) she was so proud of herself, she would clap and have the biggest smile on her face. So cute! She eats alright, she still really isn't into baby food, her favorite is sweet potatoes. she would rather just eat our food instead. She crawls very fast and good (gets into everything) she sleeps all night, and has been pacifier free for almost a week!!!! She can say da da and dad, (not ma ma yet :( ) and yeah and hi. She is so funny she puts something in her mouth (like a stuffed animal or a lil blanket) and crawls around with it in her mouth like a lil puppy or something. she is so cute. she can pull herself up onto things and can stand without holding onto something for a long time. She love me to sing her rock-a-bye-baby and patty cake, wheels on the bus, and this counting song. She loves kisses and snuggling. she thinks her daddy is so funny! and she is obsessed with water bottles (thanks to my mom)
Bobs parents bought her her first pumpkin, hopefully we will be carving it soon!!! I think she is going to be a lil fairy this year! Bob graduated with his bachelors in social work and is working full time at innovative health care as a service coordinator and just started per diem at the hospital as a social worker! I am still working in the NICU and just got accepted into a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program that is online, it will start in March. I'm really excited. I am also a little concerned because I will have to wait until i complete the program to have more kids. The program is 2.5 years, so macy would be 3 years 8 months old when I graduate, and it took a longtime to get pregnant with her, so I think she will be like 5 years old before we actually have another kid. I'm just not ready for another one right now, and it is either now or wait, so we are waiting. I plan on continuing to work full time and school full time, so I will be busy busy. I might switch to night shift so hopefully I can study a little bit at night and then spend more time with Macy at home. We will see how it all works out.
I recently got diagnosed with severe insulin resistance (my fasting insulin level was 81, which is extremely high, but my glucose levels were good) so I was on byetta (which is a twice a day injection) and then my insurance would pay for it so I was put on metformin. I was on this prior and during my pregnancy. I have been walking with my friend Anna, and now with the cold weather we are going to stroller bootcamp at the gym. Hopefully I can lose some weight!! I need to work on the diet now, i have been watching my carbs (as they go into my mouth) but i need to cut back on portions. Anyways that is what is going on in my life right now! Life is good, has ups and downs but its all worth it in the end.

Almost 6 months!

Macy is so big!!! I missed all of it ;( But I'm so proud of her and her daddy! She is just growing up so quickly (I mean seriously, I was only gone 12 hours) Anyways I need to get to sleep soon but I will post more after her 6 month appointment. Oh yeah I forgot to say that she rolls over now too!! So cute and doing the razz drooling/spitting thing! Way too cute!!! She weighs 12lbs 13 oz which is in the 28th percentile, she is still short 25 inches which is in the 8th percentile and I can't remember how big her head was but it was in the 38th percentile I believe. So she is getting big! Right now she is eating 4-6 oz every 3 hours and sleeping all night!! She goes to bed between 9-10pm and wakes up around 730am!! She has rolled over from her stomach to her back and from her back to stomach! She has only done this a couple times but its a good start!

I changed my hair AGAIN!! It is mostly blonde now with some dark brown streaks. I like it and I cut it again. So the first picture is of my new hair, but you can't see it very well ;(

A little late.....

So I'm like a month late on this post.. but better late then never. We had Macy's 2 month appointment, well exactly a month ago.
Her weight was 9lbs 10 oz
Length 20 inches

I totally thought that she was at least 11 pounds... and even bet Bob that she was, and well.... I was SO wrong. Dang it! i hate being wrong.

Anyways now to the present. We are all doing well. Macy is randomly sleeping all night, I will nurse her and put her to bed between 9 and 10 and then she wakes up between 4-430 and then goes right back to sleep till 730-8am, occasionally she will skip that 430 feeding and sleep till 730!!! I love it when that happens!!!

On another note, one of my best friends had twins, they were born at only 25 weeks, so very early. We are praying that they do well. So far have had a few bumps in the road.

She slept all night!!!

<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; YAY! It was so nice to sleep! Macy is getting so big, I can't believe how fast she is growing. She is almost 2 months old now!!

So I went on my first neonatal transport the other day!! It was a lot of fun! But I have so much to learn. I'm an apprentice, so that means that I get to go with another nurse and basically observe and learn. I'm not the main person taking care of the baby. I will be an apprentice for at least a year and then we will re-evaluate and see if I am comfortable taking on more responsibility. At this point I am fully aware that I have SO much to learn and would NEVER be comfortable doing this on my own. But I am just so excited that I am getting the opportunity to learn more, and advance my skills. It is nice, because I am now getting to take care of more critical babies at work! This is what I love, and need to grow in this field. So anyways... I really miss Macy while i'm gone, but it really is nice to get out of the house and go to a job that i love! My parents and sisters are watching Macy while I work, or Bob if he is home, so I don't feel as bad leaving her because she is with family!! They love her so much, she is the queen of their world, and mine too! We are still working on sleep! Mace will go about every 4 hours, and when I work it really is hard cause of the lack of sleep, but I'm learning to go to bed earlier, like 8-9pm (well that is when I should go to bed). My goal is to get back to my pre-marriage weight and I thought that since I only gained 12 pounds during pregnancy that I would not have a problem getting to my goal, but that seems to not be the case. Let me explain my issue. After Bob and I got married I gained about 10 pounds and stayed at that weight for 2 years. When we decided to start trying for a baby I stopped taking my medication that I was taking for insulin resistance. Within 2 weeks I had gained 10 more pounds. After talking to my doctor I started taking my medication again, but the weight stuck. So after 3 pregnancies and NO dieting or vigorus exercise (I was scared that I would miscarry if I worked out too vigorusly)I was 20+ pounds away from my goal at the beginning of this pregnancy;(
Well now almost 6 weeks from delivery I am 4 pounds under my pre-pregnancy weight, which isn't bad except for the fact that I have stayed at this weight for the past 3 weeks. I started exercising (well I have 2 times this week) and trying to eat a little more healthy. So I guess I will just keep working at it and see if I can get to my goal. Now I know that I could lose some weight if I got on a strict diet and worked out several times a week, but I have a couple things holding me back from doing that. 1- I don't want my milk supply to decrease 2- I'm too freakin tired 3- not enough will power at this point in time.
Enough about that. Blah I hate feeling like this. But I have a beautiful daughter and a wonderful husband who tells me that I'm sexy all the time- I think he may be blind, but it is very sweet. I also have a awesome job, a great new house and I'm blessed with amazing family and friends, so I can deal with my flabby baby belly and thighs.. ha ha crazy hormones...

1 month old!!!

I can't believe she is already 1 month old!! I was working and had been contracting all day (same as usual), but decided to go to labor and delivery and get checked out. They checked me.. 5cm 80%, so not much change from my prior check, but they kept me to see if the contractions would turn into actual labor. This was around 3pm when I went to L&D, around 5pm the contractions got extremely more painful but were only 5-7 min apart, they checked me but no change. Gave me a shot of morphine and said I could go home if I wanted. I chose to go home and try to sleep. We went home around 8pm and I tried to sleep, but was in too much pain, I could sleep in between each contraction but they were sooo bad, it was unbearable. Around 2am I just couldn't take the pain any longer and went back to the hospital, they checked me and still i was only 5cm. At this point I was begging for an epidural, the pain was so intense during the contractions, but they wouldn't give me one, until they were sure that I was actually in labor. This was torture! I was in so much pain, and so scared that they would try to send me home again, I honestly couldn't stand that pain. But I did (not by my choice). Around 6:45am they checked me again, still 5 cm but now 100% effaced. I was so upset that I had not dilated more. The nurse said that she could feel the baby's head and her head was sideways so that is probably why I had not dilated. So they had me turn from side to side to help the baby's head to straighten out. I did and the contractions got even worse... I thought I was going to die... the Dr came in around 7:40am and checked me..... I was now 7-8cm !!!!!!!!! Finally they said I could have the epidural, BUT the anesthesiologist was in surgery and it would be awhile.......NO!!!!!!!!!!! Finally around 9am I was 9cm and got my epidural.. the best thing all night... wow those help so much! I will be getting that for the next delivery, no question.. Around 11am I was fully dilated and started to push. Macy arrived at 11:59am and stayed with me in the room and nursed for the first hour. Then she had to go to NICU for observation, because she was born 4 weeks early. She did very well and was able to come to my room every 3 hours for feedings. Then after 22 hours in observations was transfered to term nursery and was able to stay in my room the rest of the hospital stay.
Born on Wed and home on Friday! So far all is well! She is nursing like a champ, and sleeping well. She is a very calm baby, she doesn't ever cry, just kinda whimpers a little when she is hungry. I love her so much!!! It is the most wonderful feeling to hold her and nurse her!! I never imagined I would feel this much joy from having a baby, it is just the best thing ever!

Any Day Now!!

As of yesterday I am 3-4 cm dilated and 80% effaced!!! We are making progress! I'm now 36 weeks, so I am fine with her coming anytime now! The Dr. said he thinks I will deliver before Friday because my cervix is changing!
So last night I was thinking about all the events that are about to take place...... ahhhhh.... I'm scared! i REALLY hate pain, and I know this is going to hurt a lot. Then I tried to calm myself by reminding myself that I was going to be getting an epidural, but wow have you seen that needle that they put in your back... it's HUGE, that is going to hurt as well. And then after the baby is born.... more pain.. but I just know that it is going to be SOOO worth the pain to finally get to hold my sweet little girl!!! I can't wait!!! But yeah I got about 3 hours of sleep last night, very productive, and now I'm off to work!!

Still Waiting......

I'm 34 weeks now and dilated to 2cm, about 60% effaced. I'm so uncomfortable, they said her head is right up against my cervix so standing and being up-right is painful. I'm still contracting, pretty much everyday. Today it has been every 6 min. but they are not super painful yet. I was put back on bed rest last week because I had a positive fetal fibronectin, a test that predicts if your will deliver within 2 weeks. It's been 10 days since the test and I haven't delivered yet, although the test is only about 50% accurate, I still had to stop working ;( Yesterday at the Dr he said he thought I would deliver within the next 2 weeks, so we will see what happens. Still doing non-stress tests twice a week and so far they have been going well. I go see the perinatologist tomorrow, so I hope that goes well!
We are almost done Christmas shopping!! Still need to put up the tree and decorate. Kinda hard to do when I'm supposed to be "taking it easy", and Bob is in school and working a lot, plus doing clinicals. He can't wait for Macy to come, and he is going to take probably 4-5 weeks off work when she comes home!! That will be so much fun.
I'm working on my patience. It is hard for me I think because it feels like this pregnacy and the 2 miscarriages are combined into one huge/long pregnancy. It has been 18 months since the first pregnancy started and here I am, still pregnant and no baby yet. But soon, soon we will have our sweet baby. I just feel so impatient, but I'm working on it, and super excited that she will be here soon! And I'm very happy that we have made it to 34 weeks+ !!!!

Holy Huge and New Hair

Well I decided to make a change.... and chopped all of my hair off!! She took off at least 10 inches in the back, wow! But I like my new look, it is lots easier to do and I think it will be good once the baby is here. Bob really like the new look too, so that is always good!

I'm 32 weeks in this picture
On another note. Holy crap I am so big now, I seriously can't imagine getting bigger than this. But it is a good thing to know that the baby is getting bigger! Very soon she will be joining us! Today at the Dr. I was dilated one cm. and he said he was pretty sure I wouldn't go full term. We are thinking 35-36 weeks, so that is only about 3 weeks from now! That is crazy! I wish it the time would just fly so I can meet her already! Soon enough I suppose, this is teaching me patience.

Halloween

For Halloween this year we went to my mom's to hang out. It was a good time. We didn't dress up this year, but we did paint a pumpkin on my belly. It was pretty funny. I'm now 30 weeks and had gone in for a NST on sunday. While i was there I started contracting and they had to give me terb again ;( however, I generally contract like that when I'm home and they eventually just go away. I'm hoping this doesn't influence my plans on going back to work. The plan still is to go back on Nov 17th when i'm 32 weeks.

We now have Macy's room set up!!! It is so cute!! She already has tons of cute clothes and blankets! I can't wait to meet her. I wonder what she will look like?? Dark hair?? Anyways, we are now ready for her whenever she decides to come!! Everything looked good, my blood pressure and her heart rate were good. The Dr said that if everything continued to go well then maybe I can go back to work in a month!!! This would be at 32 weeks!! I sure hope that everything goes well and that I am able to go back to work. I am so bored at home all day and really miss work, sad I know, but I love my job. I still have to go to the Dr every week, and to the hospital twice a week for Non-stress tests. But we are hoping for an uneventful pregnancy till I get to 38 weeks. Hope, hope, hope!!!
Alexis

Update

  Macy's foot
Me at 25 weeks pregnant- getting so big
                                                                  Macy at 22 weeks
                                                                   Bob and I last year!
Bob and I have now been married 3.5 years and are expecting our first child, Macy Lyn!!! We are so excited!! We had 2 previous miscarriages, and are now 28 weeks pregnant, so our baby is now viable. We just bought our 2nd home and are renting out the 1st one. LOVE the new house!! I graduated the nursing program at ISU with my BSN in Dec 2007 and work in the Neonatal Intensive care Unit at EIRMC and love it. Bob is in the social work program at ISU and should graduate in May 2009!! He works at the Behavioral Health Center at EIRMC.

We have had some pregnancy complications starting at 22 weeks I had bleeding (which stopped within a couple minutes) and contractions which they were able to stop with terbutaline. Then 2 more episodes of bleeding at 24 weeks. And a 3 day hospital admission at 26 weeks with bleeding and contractions every minute for about 14 hours, they were finally able to stop the contractions after 2 shots of terb and several doses of nifedipine. At this point they gave me betamethasone, which helps the baby's lungs and brain develop a little faster, just in case we delivered early. So now I am off work till I'm 32-34 weeks (If we make it that far). So i'm home all day, everyday on modified bedrest. So far it seems that my little Macy is a lot like me, impatient, and wants to come into this world sooner than we would like. Anyways I'm just so happy to be pregnant and hope to stay that way for at least a couple more weeks. If Macy will allow it.
Alexis

The Blog...

Just thought we'd start a blog cause we're cool like that.
Love, Alexis (baby Macy) and Bob
